I am very interested in a memory book. Can you share a link?
I’m currently focused on our family grief recovery as we’ve suffered multiple losses including 2 suicides. It’s made grieving so complex.
I heal mainly by writing and coincidentally today I shared my manuscript with my beta readers.
Your post has come at a good time as I now feel ready to grieve more lightly.
We have many family videos and photos that I can’t currently easily access and need to transfer onto a digital form and your post reminds me to start this process slowly and gently. The children will benefit from this focus greatly too as it means their dad and grandparents are embraced as a part of our life forever.
I was so sad to hear about the multiples losses you’ve endured. As you so rightly share, these losses accumulate and make your experience more complicated and complex. Writing is food for our battered soul, isn’t it? It helps us make sense of the world, even as it goes sideways. I’m so glad that you have found this way of healing helpful to you.
I’m so happy that this post is helpful to you. Keep doing what you are doing to honour your pain and continue your bond with your people. xxoo
This is a great idea Dana. That out of such tragedy can come such a gift is just wonderful. I certainly understand that concept of forced joy. Bittersweet.
I remember a friend telling me after my own husband died to create a book of memories of him, but you have taken it a stage further. It will be inspiring and useful to many, I'm sure
