Nurturing our Wounds
A few updates from The Grieving Place
Hello Grief Friends.
I am so grateful we are connected.
With Father’s Day around the corner, I wanted to pause and send all my love to those who are mourning their fathers or perhaps, are struggling to make peace with fractured relationships. Grief arises in so many ways and it’s helpful to know that the pain we experience — physical, emotional, social, spiritual, cognitive — are a normal, universal, and involuntary part of reconciling our loss.
It’s not because something is wrong with us that we grieve. It’s because we care.

Exciting News!
Our second Wind Phone Project will be complete this summer. We are beyond grateful to those who purchased my book and those who made donations. Wind Phones are a safe refuge for those grappling with grief. These beautiful spaces normalize a health way of being with life losses. If this inspires you, reach out and we can chat about ways you can find or bring a Wind Phone to your community!
In addition, I was recently featured on the Misfits Among Us Podcast and loved connecting with Joey Marcus on all things grief and loss. I hope you get something out of our beautiful conversation. I know I did!
And, most profound for me, I was invited to be the keynote speaker for a gathering of Paralympic and Olympic athletes earlier this month. The topic was navigating life transition with resilience and compassion. As an advocate for grief and loss literacy, I was humbled to be in a room of young minds and brave hearts, and was delighted to hear that my session was so well received.
